It gives us immense pleasure to welcome you to Prayagraj on 13th September 2026 for the scientific meeting “Metabolic Syndrome: Bench to Bedside”, organized by the Department of Gastroenterology & Hepatology, Motilal Nehru Medical College, Prayagraj, in association with the Gastro Club of Prayagraj.

Metabolic syndrome has emerged as one of the greatest healthcare challenges of our time, driving the global epidemic of obesity, diabetes, cardiovascular disease, and metabolic dysfunction-associated steatotic liver disease (MASLD). Over the past decade, remarkable advances have been made in understanding its complex pathophysiology, genetics, gut microbiome, and inflammatory pathways, leading to significant progress in diagnostics, risk stratification, and evidence-based therapeutic strategies.

This meeting aims to bridge the gap between bench and bedside by bringing together the latest scientific discoveries and their practical clinical applications. Through interactive sessions, expert lectures, and case-based discussions, participants will gain valuable insights into the comprehensive management of metabolic syndrome and its gastrointestinal and hepatic manifestations, with special emphasis on MASLD/MASH, insulin resistance, obesity, dyslipidaemia, hypertension, and their multisystem implications.
